Leslies Swimming Pool Supplies - Tried to return a chemical purchase the next day, they do not accept chemical returns, plus purchase recommendation was bogus
Part of this is my own fault. I read the back of the receipt, but only the part that said the customer has 14 days to return purchases.
I didn't realize that I couldn't return chemicals which is on the back also. They need a big sign that says all chemical purchases are final. There is a small placard that the clerk showed me when I tried to return the chemical. I had no idea.
However I have a second issue.
I had my water tested and everything was within range except something called "phosphates." I didn't remember having that tested in the past, but anyway... My reading was 300 ppb and the recommended range is under 100 ppb. So I did some calling and research. I talked to 3 pool experts at other pool companies and they said phosphates are fine as long as it's below 1000 ppb, not 100 ppb.
The internet said the same thing, except for one site....that was a leslie's site where it showed a youtube of leslie's people preaching the phosphates gospel. As far as I'm concerned and all the pool company experts I spoke with, this is a scam to increase revenues.
I paid $37 with tax for this useless product that I can't return. I will never set foot in Leslie's again.
Reason of review: Return, Exchange or Cancellation Policy.
Monetary Loss: $37.
Preferred solution: Full refund.
